Star Fox 2 is a rail shooter video game developed by Nintendo and Argonaut Software for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was intended to be a sequel to the original Star Fox game, but due to various reasons, it was never officially released until 2017 as part of the Super NES Classic Edition. The game features new gameplay mechanics such as the ability to transform the Arwing spacecraft into a walking robot, and a real-time strategy element where players must defend their home planet from incoming attacks while also completing other missions.
